## Sage(math) and Chromium-browser

February 1, 2010 by doxdrum

About 10 days now I started to use **Sage(math)** for my calculations… I must admit I was (and still am) really impress for it reliability and easy use. However, since my default web browser is not **Firefox**, the notebook of sage opens in **Chromium-browser** (which is neither my default browser, but **conkeror**).

The problem with Chromium-browser was that it did not auto-complete… but **now it does**, so if you’re using Chromium-browser the tab-key now helps you to auto-complete the sage command.

on March 29, 2010 at 5:00 am |William SteinHi,

There are some bugs with Google Chrome and the Sage Notebook. In particular, creating new worksheets doesn’t work reliably (http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/8615).

I switched to Chrome, and I’m going to do work on the notebook soon, so I’ll try to fix all these bugs. Do feel free to email sage-support if you notice any sage notebook Chrome issues…

Is there some trick to comment/uncomment a block with Sage in Chromium? Usual shortcuts doesnt seem to work (ctrl+3,ctrl+.)

Thanks for any help.

I use Chromium as my default browser. In order to use the trick I’d suggest to de-attach the SAGE tab from the rest in your Chromium windows.

Then, use:

C-a: (capital C stands for control-key) for selecting the whole content in your calculation lineC-3: for commenting the selected area.C-4: for uncommenting the selected area.Best wishes!
