## Subfigures in LaTeX

A useful feature of LaTeX is the possibility of include subfigures. In order to do this, one must use the package (include the following line in the preamble of your code)

\usepackage{subfigure}

And the implementation in the body is,

\begin{figure}[ht]
\centering
\subfigure[Caption of subfigure 1]{
\includegraphics[scale=1]{subfigure1.eps}
\label{fig:subfig1}
}
\subfigure[Caption of subfigure 2]{
\includegraphics[scale=1]{subfigure2.eps}
\label{fig:subfig2}
}
\subfigure[Caption of subfigure 3]{
\includegraphics[scale=1]{subfigure3.eps}
\label{fig:subfig3}
}
\label{fig:subfigureExample}
\caption[Optional caption for list of figures]{%
Caption of subfigures \subref{fig:subfig1},
\subref{fig:subfig2} and \subref{fig:subfig3}}
\end{figure}

This could be useful.

4. Great help! Actually, I have a problem with subfigure. I want to put some figures at different places in the section. I want to have them in pairs, so I use subfigure. But, instead of labels (a) and (b) in the Figure 1, and labels (a) and (b) in the Figure 2, I have (a) and (b) in Figure 1 and (c) and (d) in Figure 2. And it is like this in whole section. So in the end of the section, I have a pair of pictures, which I have to refer at as Figure 3(e) and 3(f). Do anyone know what to do with it? Thanks.
